More progress this evening although a little shorter session than usual. All our major scenes are defined now and feel we have a good journey for the audience to follow.
We spent more time discussing the ending as the flow of the film seemed to end too abruptly. Sometime you need to give the audience time to process what has been told, it depends on the type of film I guess, but this one feels like our rollercoaster needs to come to a gliding stop.
We have glossed over some major detail in the film, so next time we shall be defining more of the actual detail before turning the scenes in to filmable scenes with dialogue.
Another meeting of minds online this week!
Obviously there's still huge uncertainty of when we'll be able to film again. But we carry on regardless.
This week we put everything we wrote last week and turned them into 'scenes'. The outline is starting to come together now. We know that we'll likely be able to take our time on this one. Consider every aspect; locations, plot points and characters in intricate detail. Ready for when we can film and eventually release!
With this one, we want to make it pull on your heartstrings so we're starting this now!
As we enter another lockdown, we again are scripting via Zoom. It seems to be working so far, obviously not the same as face to face but progress is being made.
We need to re-evaluate our roller coaster of emotions to see if we have enough excitement and interest to keep the view interested but so far I think we’re ok.
We have the plot outline split out into days with a beginning, middle and end. All we have to do now is flesh out the characters a bit more and then start building up each scene before we turn this into scenes and start scripting.
We're back! Zooming into the new normal with a video chat to start our new film.
A very productive chat with a strong outline created for the story. We actually managed to get right through to the end!
But what is the end... That was the toughest part! Do we tie it all up in a nice little bow? Or do we leave the audience hanging... A sort of create your own ending...
One thing we know for certain is that we want you to be talking about this for days after. It's early days yet but I am very excited!
After our last production we wanted a bit of a break and as it happened Covid Lock-down has meant we were unable to do anything as a team anyway, but we’re back now with ideas flowing.
At this stage it is only ideas, but it looks like we will be trying to turn the ideas into a script over the next few months meeting socially distant and or via e-meetings.
We will have to wait and see if the ideas turn into a script and if that then results in us being able to film it. Time will tell
